I am trying to locate info on Abraham ELY, born in NJ Aug 22, 1788. He married Sarah (possible EVANS)b. Feb 29, 1792. I think she might be from Chatham, Columbia, NY, as I find record of an Abraham ELY in that area in 1820 census, and all their children were born in NY according to the family bible. I've just found out that their oldest, Lucretia ELY GEE, was married in Chatham, Columbia, NY. The family moved to Ionia Co., MI, sometime after 1840 as the family shows up in the 1850 census in Lyons, Ionia, MI. Any assistance would be appreciated.
