I realize that this thread isn't that active, but for later clarity and less confusion for some one reading these posts in the future, I wanted to point out the following.
I have posted a number of responses in a thread began by Robert Carver dated 3/4/99 about his ancestor William Elwood married to Sarah Beale. The caption of the thread is William Elwood PA > In ( because his ancestors migrated west from PA to Indiana I presume.)
I believe his William may have been a child of a Robert Elwood of PA who I suspect was our Willaims brother, underline suspect.
In any event, to keep things straight I will post what I know about Westmoreland County's Willam Elwood (abt 1758- 1832) married to Jean Stoops in this new thread and refer readers to the other thread which also contains my thoughts about our Willam.
