Found great grandmother Ellen on Fall River, MA 1900 census. She was born in Fall River and married a Henry(Harry)Wood in 1891. Ellen's father is listed as being born in Ireland and her mother born in England. I understand that the last name was Aylward however, ever document I have with Ellen's name on it, has several spellings including Ellen E. Ellwood Ward. Very confusing! At the time of the 1900 census Ellen and Henry had:
Jane 7/1893
William 3/1894
Henry 12/1896
Sydney 2/1900
Sydney must have died because no one remembers him. My grandfather Arnold was born in 1901 and my great aunt Regina in 1903. If this sounds familiar to any one please email me. I have hit a dead in especially with all the variations on the name. Thanks! Audra
