Mary - Have found James in the 1820 Clark County Census, Monroe Twp. In 1830 and 1840 he was in Harrison County, 45th District. By 1850, his wife, Jane, was living with her son, Jamieson. Apparently James died between 1840 and 1850. I assume he did not move, but the counties changed.
Have a lot of information and would be happy to share information about Jamieson Elwood's family, but nothing before James. Any help is appreciated. I have hit another one of those brick walls.
