Lewis Elwell b. 1825 Ohio m. Mellisa Sexton

I am a descendant of Lewis Elwell, b. 17 Jan 1825 in Knox Co., Ohio and Mellisa Ann Sexton b. 1829-1830 in Schuyler Co., Illinois and married 13 Aug 1849 in McDonough Co., Ill. I presume Lewis’s parents were Thomas Elwell b. 1797 in New Jersey and Mary Engle/Ingle b. sometime in 1799 or 1800 in Green Brier Co., VA., but can find no primary or secondary sources to confirm that.

Does anyone have or know of documented sources that would confirm Lewis’s parents or identify Mellisa Ann Sexton’s parents?
