I'm searching for my great-great-grandmother's family.Her maiden name Cynthia Smantha Elwell (born Oct. 1840-41 Pennsylvania). She married Anson S. White (born 8 Sept. 1831 Bradford Co. Pennsylvania) in Aug. 1852 in Farmington, Tioga County Pennsylvania. A relative said her father was Isaac Elwell. I haven't any proof that this is her father.
I was hoping that if anyone knows of Isaac Elwell or his family. On one census Cynthia lists her fathers birth place as Ireland, then on another it is Connecticut. I think her father's name might be William Elwell. Anson S. & Cynthia (Elwell) White moved to Iowa between 1856-1860.
