My Grandfather was a George Elvidge Married Lucy Kay and according to his daughter came from this area.
All I have found so far is that his father was Robert & Mother Elizabeth he had a brother Robert, a policeman, and a sister who died in a snow drift! have'nt realy started on this branch yet but if you keep in touch I should start in the next 3 months & will pass on any info if it is the same family.
