Dear Colin, Thanks for your message. According to Census Information Mary ELVIDGE was born about 1817 in the St George, Hanover Square, area of London. In 1838 she and her husband William BANNISTER lived at 8 Pollen St, just behind Regent Street to the west.
Unfortunately, I do not know anything more about her or where her family were from. There were no other ELVIDGE families in the immediate area of Pollen Street, on 1841 and 1851 Census'. Any info gratefully received.
