Would anyone have a ancestrial tree on this family?
(Not related)...
Father was Lamont Eltinge b. Woodstock NY 1847 and mother was Roselia Arvelia Lake b. 1851 Green County NY. He had a brother Orville Lamont who was living in Chicago.
Wife was Effe Barrea.
LeRoy graduated from West Point in 1896.
All I know of his ancestor was, he descended from Jan Elton of Ulster County. Names changed over the years... they came to Amesterdam in 1668. LeRoy's ancestor, William moved to Woodstock after the burning of Kingston by the British. LeRoy was born in Woodstock in 1872. Family moved to Kingston around 1880.(not finding family on 1880 census)
He was survived by his wife, and two daughters, Margaret Bolt, and Mrs. Frederick E. Trotter
