Janice;
I must apologize for not looking far enough, and giving you misleading information.Peter Elson and Elisabeth Sale Elson were German immigrants arriving in Philadelphia in 1752.They had four sons: Tunis, Henry, Peter, and Jacob (the son I didn't mention), and a daughter- possibly Elizabeth.The family ultimately settled in Crawford County, PA.Peter and Elizabeth both died in 1802. Tunis (c. 1760-1823) moved to Monroe Twp., Muskingum Co., OH around 1817. Son Henry (c.1762-1821/30)was in Stark County, Ohio by 1820 and died before 1830.Son Peter (1764-1831) lived and died in Crawford County and is buried there.Jacob (Bef 1775-1833) moved to Brush Creek Twp., Muskingum Co. OH.I have seven sons for Jacob, and the first one is Peter, b. 1805!Needless to say, I think this is your Peter.
