I now have a certified copy of Charlotte Ann Elsdon's birth -- 19 July 1849 in Dalton Percy, sub-district of Hartlepool, County of Durham. Father: Joseph Elsdon, resident of father Dalton Percy. Mother Elizabeth Eldson, formerly Oliver. Charlotte Ann and Charles Frederick Winskill were married in Hartlepool, 17 Dec. 1867. I don't have a definite fix on any of her siblings but I would guess thee were many -- there are so many Elsdons in the Sunderland/Houghton le Spring area which is near Daltons, and just north of Hartlepool. Charlotte Ann herself gave birth to 20 children, family sources say, nine of whom survived.
