does anyone know anything about george elsbury born about 1808-1811 in durham england, he married elizabeth barros, had a son robert b1843 who emigrated to australia and married janet thompson in 1887.
The 1841 census has George listed with 5 children. In the 1851 census he is listed but wifes name is now Jane, the children have aged 10ys & fit the previous census, with 2 additions- I cant find any record of death of elizabeth, if indeed this is the same family. It all fits, but is it likely, perhaps someone has the same ancestors and can help sort out my puzzle. However the 1841 census has georges bithdate as 1811, & the 1851 has his bithdate as 1808. Am I trying to find a "fit", or does someone know more? I would really appreciate any help.
