sara, so nice to hear from you!yes, i know where they are buried. they are buried in a cemetary in the middle of the woods in paulding county. there was once a church there but it burned down in the 1920's. after that the graves were forgotten not to mention neglected. i am very proud to say that not only did i find them but i went to some friends of mine who belongs to the william j hardee scv camp in paulding county to ask them to help me order new headstones for zebulon and his brothers who are buried next to their parents. zebulon has a confederate marker as well as his brothers. how did i know to go to the woods and look? the strangest thing but i promise it's true. i dreamt one night i went walking in the woods and came across them. so... i drove all the way to paulding county and started digging into old records and physically went searching. then as they say, the rest is history. to amke the elsberry family a bit more clear let me break it down:

1. lindsey elsberry is the son of???? I don't know. i personally think that he is the son of the woman that has her name spelt about ten different ways. francena, franicinia, francinia,i think this is the NANCY that is mentioned.i have never found any records of any elsberry marrying a nancy elsberry.i think nancy is her nickname.she is defintely the mother of lindsey for zebulon named one of his daughter's nancy. lindsey marries elizabeth caldwell hutcherson who's first husband dies i do believe int he war of 1812. she is the daughter of curtis caldwell and sarah mcgowan caldwell. they lived in gwinnett county the same time elizabeth and lindsey get married there in 1820. i have found all the census records that support this. sarah and curtis have two other children, curtis jr and margaret . they stay in gwinnett county. sarah and curtis either visits elizabeth alot or they live in paulding county for awhile. a cousin of ours, mr hubert holland an attorney in marietta gave me some information that supports this theory.lindsey and elizabeth have at least 12 kids. zebulon is born in cobb county or dekalb.zebulon marries emily baker before the civil war. after she dies in the 1880's he marries for the second time to nancy whitfield. he is no spring chicken and neither is she. they have three children ontop of his five he had with emily. my grandfather was his youngest child. my grandfather patrick always talked about his two brothers benjamen and lindsey, zeb's two other sons by emily. they were old enough to be hsi father but they always looked after him. my mother vaguely remembers them as very tall, very old men when she was a little girl.do you have any old pictures of zeb??? i would live to have a copy of anything you have and owuld be more than happy to pay for any cost. i am writing an article for the paulding county new era newspaper to appeal to any and all elsberry's to help with the very large costs of the historical marker.i cannot allow the memory and the strength these people had to be forgotten.i live in lawrenceville so if you would like to call me,please do so. it is 770-339-8391. my address is 924 roberts way, lawrenceville ga 30043. if you would liek to meet sometime to go visit the cemetary, please le tme know and i will show you. elizabeth does not have a marker which i plan on correcting. she was over a 100 years old when she died. can you imagine what she must have seen in her life? thank you and ofcourse pass the word out to any relatives, we need donations!!!!thanks and good to hear from you!
