I am looking for information on Kirkland Elsberry married
to Mariam McGregor in the mid 1800's in Paulding Co. Ga.
They were the parents of William Munroe Elsberry, b. 1855
in Paulding Co., married Amelia Ann Holland in 1876.
William and Amelia were the parents of James Lewis b. 1877,
George Henry b. 1879, Mariam Francis b. 1881, Sam Jackson
b. 1884, Sam was my grandfather, William Starling b. 1886,
Minnie Dora b. 1888, Raliegh Hartwell b. 1891, Carrie
Beatrice b. 1893, and Ernest Jesse b. 1896.
Sam Jackson married Ginny Hulsey in 1902. Their children
were Lester Lewis b. 1907, Lawrence Jordan b. 1911, my
father Paul Samuel b. 1912, and Guy Munroe b. 1917.
Sam Jackson and Ginny moved their family to Wimauma, Fl.
from Mayo, Fl. in the early 1920's. They were in the
sawmill business at that time. They later began to farm
in the Ruskin area, and Paul's sons Bruce, Terry, & Ross
continue to farm and live in Ruskin.
Any information on Kirkland would be appreciated.
I will be happy to share all dates and pictures that I
have collected over the years.
