Hi Angela,

Where did you get all this information regarding the "Sol" family? I believe I am somehow connected to these people. My great-grandmother's name was Leonor Tabora Sol and she lived in El Corpus, Copan, Honduras, near La Union (not that far from El Salvador). She was married to Jesus Aranda. I assume her mother (since her second surname is Sol) was either born in El Salvador or born in Honduras to Salvadoran parents. Unfortunately, I do not have her mother's name since I have not yet located a birth/death record for Leonor. I do know that some of the death records of people once living in El Corpus list them as having Salvadoran nationality. I don't believe any of the "Sol's" from El Corpus were actually Honduran--they must have all moved to the village (a very tiny village) for some reason that I don't know. "Sol" is an extremely rare surname in Central America so I'm fairly sure we are related somehow down the line. Could you send me some of the information you have and it would be great if you knew of any relatives that have moved from El Salvador to Honduras...they would probably be my relatives.

Some of the names I have come across have been Eliseo Sol (died 1926, son of Dionicia Sol), Vicenta Sol (died 1926, daugther of Josefa Sol). These people may be my ancestors but have no way to prove this yet. Any info on the Sol family's origins would be greatly appreciated.
