Carlos Rivas,
I am not sure if this Carlos Rivas Menendez is related to you, but he was visiting San Francisco on May 23, 1939 and came with his wife, Rosa de Rivas Zelaya and his neice Josefina Figueroa Zelaya. Josefina was my great aunt. They were all traveling from La Libertad, El Salvador. Also on the same boat was my great grandmother Carmen v.de (castro) Gochez. She was visiting her daughter Marie E. Gochez who had moved to San Francisco after the uprisings of 1931 with her sister Carmen.
