Hello David, My name is Gustavo Oliva. I am the son of
Jorge Alfredo Oliva. His father was Cuno Mathies. I
don't know much about Cuno except that he came from
Germany and was a banker.My father had several brothers and
sisters with the Mathies name but I can only remember
one offhand and she was named Olga. He also had several
brothers and sisters that went by the Oliva name but
Gustavo & Carlos are the only ones I know of. I would
appreciate any information you could give me on Cuno. Is
your wife a Mathies or an Oliva. I have several brothers
and sisters some of whom still live in El Salvador.
There are a few who have migrated to the US. Some live
in Canada. As a matter of fact I will be visiting the
youngest next week, he lives in Victoria Texas and his
name is Oscar Oliva. I think he was named after an
Mathies uncle. Hope to here from you. Gustavo
