Hugo Born in El Salvador

This is what I know about Hugo. He was born in El Salvador and was living in the San Francisco Bay Area (Hamilton Field). Was in military late 1940's. Married (Effie) Eleanor McClenaghan (Martin) in Washington State, 1950. Effie died in 1951, leaving 3 children who vaguely remember Hugo. Any help would be very much appreciated.
