Hi Jackie,
My grt grandmother was Mary Jane Matilda Challis born at Combe Hampshire (now Combe
Berkshire)in 1841. Her parents were Thomas Challis and Charlotte Challis nee Elms. Mary Jane
married Daniel Bray also from Combe,who later became a police man in Surrey.
Combe is very close to Highclere so dont know if we connect?
