I too have information on Leonard but cannot locate much on his father William.

I would be interested to know if any of the information differs:
Leonard Elms, b. Oct 28, 1801in Plainfield NH; d.? married Oct 13, 1849 to Clarisa Cobleigh b. Dec 14, 1803 in Littleton NH; d. April 14, 1888 in Lisbon. I have 5 children -- Caroline, Lucy Jane, George O., Charles E.(my gg grandfather) and Ann Eliza.

Leonard's father William married Penelope Litchfield. Penelope was born April 18, 1775 in Cantebury CT. They may have had a second son named Amos. I don't know where they lived.
