John Irvin Elms, son of William W. Elms and wife Mary Davidson Elms, was born in Mecklenburg County on 19 Apr 1844, and died 16 June 1912. He is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Mecklenburg Co, NC. He married Katherine B. Besore in 1899, and they had no children.
