I can't help much on your Mattheas ELMORE born in 1755, but I was wondering if your Jacob's brother-Mattheas may be my Mattheas ELMORE. My Mattheas married Rebecca KELLY and they had at least one daughter who died 29 June 1859 in Newberry, SC. She was married to Thomas FREAN in 1814. Please let me know if there is any connection. Thank you.
