Jody,
The Hezekiah Elmore that Marilyn posted is actually a descendant of Edward ELMER, one of the original founders of Hartford, Connecticut. Hezekiah is the son of Edward Elmer & Rebecca Fitch. Hezekiah married Miriam Standish. However, I don't have John Elmore as a son of Hezekiah & Miriam (Mariam), but I have 2 Jacobs born to Hezekiah & Miriam. One died as an infant & they named their next son Jacob as well.
So I don't know how this affects your information. I do know that some of my ancestors did end up in NY & then WI.
