CORRECTIONS:
E.G. was Edward G. Jr. His wife's name was Destinonia rather than Desdemona. They lived in the northern district of Brunswick county rather than Nottoway. The 1860 census shows that he was a planter and both were age 23 and had 4 of their 8 children by then;
George 5, Rosa 4, William 3, Mary Susan 1

Mary Susan and Elbert were my gggrandparents.Destinonia had the middle initial V which may provide a clue to her parents.
