Dear Karen, Have same problem. My lineage relates to Edward Carrington(1) & Edward Carrington(2) Elmore. ECE(1) is my g-g-randfather & ECE(2) is my g-grandfather. Geographically the lineage is from VA., the Carolinas, especially S.Carolina, & Alabama. Need lineage info prior ECE(1). But getting back to question at hand-I have this info-through research-hoping to verify this to my lineage. There were 2 ships-1.LYON & 2.TRUE LOVE. The LYON listed Edward Elmore & fam. The TRUE LOVE had a group of Elmores. Both ships arrived in MA. Lyon with Edward E.? TRUE LOVE-the group splintered into 3 groups-2 groups remained in MA. & 3rd group went to CT. And I think the CT. group splintered(my theory)-one group to VT., some remain in CT. And the rest to VA. Sandy Cusack
