Can anyone identify the James Elmore who appears in the 1840 census of Wayne Co., NC? He is listed as age 40-50 and is living next door to Needham Hinson. In 1850 he is in Lenoir Co., NC, age, 55, with two children, Nancy and William. I cannot place him with other Elmore families from Wayne and Lenoir Cos. Need help! Sue Ann Hayley
