I am researching Matilda Elmore who was born c 1812 in NC and died after 1870 most likely somewhere in Breckinridge, Meade, or Hancock County, Kentucky. She was married to Richard Overton b 1808 Rockingham County, NC died after 1860 Breckinridge County, KY. She is shown in the 1840, 1850, 1860 and 1870 Breckinridge County Census records. She may be the sister of Andrew Jackson Elmore who lived in Breckinridge County, KY during the same time frame.
