I need help from someone in the N. C. and VA areas.
We have that this James Elmore and "Milla" Gant were married August 20, 1810 in Orange County, NC. I am looking for his parents names. James was born ca 1788 and was listed as age 60 on 1850 Census of Botetourt County, VA. In the 1850 census in Botetourt County we see Milli as 58 with Sarah 21 and James Jr. as age 19.
I have seen his father listed as John Andrew Elmore and John Archer Elmore in online sites.
This information will make all the difference in the branch of the Elmore tree we are to follow.
All help is appreciated.
