Martha Ann ELMORE born 4 Oct 1848 d/o George Washington "Rory" ELMORE.
Married a DAVIS, possibly Texas Co., MO neighbor Green C. DAVIS who was her age and claimed to have died in Civil War.
28 May 1868 Texas Co. MO Martha Ann DAVIS married William Mattison ROBIRDS (his third wife, also spelled ROBERTS or ROBBIRDS)
1870 Census for William ROBERTS in Texas Co., MO includes his wife Martha A.; 4 children from previous marriage; son from this marriage; Laura M. DAVIS age 4; Louisa J. ELMORE 24. I assume that Louisa is Martha's sister. Is Laura her daughter? - no additional information found.
Family bible lists her as Martha Joanne ELMORE, died 31 Jan 1897 of consumption (TB). At the time, family lived on family farm near Halfway, Polk Co., MO.
