I would like to know who John Allen ELMORE's father was. His mother's
name was Deborah and claimed to have been born in SC. Her other
son's name was Reuben Harrison Clinton (R.H.C.) ELMORE born about
1837 also in Nashville, TN. It is believed that Deborah's husband
died while in the Tennessee Militia between 1837 and 1850. Deborah
moved to Camden Co., MO before 1850 and died there in about 1879.
Deborah appears to have been related to Lavina Elmore APPLETON, wife
of John APPLETON.
