I've been trying to trace this particular branch of the Elmore family for 2 years now and have had very little success. My only real help has been from a book called "Hutchins-Hutchens - Decendants of Strangeman Hutchins" compiled by Rita Hineman Townsend.
In it, it states that Archelaus elmore, b 25 Mar 1770 of Muddy Creek, Stokes Co., NC: d 1832 Jefferson Co. TN; son of Thomas Elmore and Ann Sanders. He married Nancy (Ann) Hutchins, b 1775. Married about 1793 probably in Stokes Co. NC. Archelaus m/2 NC or TN to a Hannah _______(?) b 1786. A note by the Criders urges caution and says that the last four children of Archelaus are possibly children by his second wife Hannah.

I'm really interested to know if anyone might have more history on Archelaus's second wife Hannah
