Luther Trowbridge Elmore of Michigan ancestors

Looking for ancestors of Luther Trowbridge Elmore (b.abt 1840 in NY) m. Clarissa Elvira Jones (b. abt 1852).

Luther was a Private in Michigan's 26th Infantry Regiment, Company F during the Civil war (8 Aug 1862 to 4 Jun 1865).

1880 Census shows them living in Sylvan, Osceola, MI.
Luther T. is a farmer; father born in NY, Mother born in NY.

Wife Clarissa

Dau. Lizzie M.(Melinda) age 8 (later m. George Livermore)
Dau. Rosette V. age 5

1870 Census in O?ient, Osceola, Michigan shows Luther and Clarissa living with her parents: Lemuel P. Jones, Sarah (Deuel) Jones along with William Jones (age 11) and Lucious Jones (age 5/12)

If you have any information about Luther's ancestors, I would love to have it.
