It is possible that we are talking about the same Elmore line. I have been tracking Charles for a long time and this is what I know. Charles was born June 1820 in VA, I don't know exactly where. He first appeared in the Scioto County census in 1850 living with his first wife Mary Jane Hunt and with three children, Ann Hunt (13), Thomas F. Ellmore (7), G.W. Ellmore (5). All children were born in OH however both Mary Jane and Charles were listed as born in VA. Mary Jane was born about 1815 according to her age at census of 35. Charles and Mary Jane apparently divorced because the 1860 census shows her living alone and Charles living with Rhoda Talbert my gr gr great grandmother. They were married in 1856 in Pickaway county. If Charles did live in Pickaway county it was only somewhere between 1850 and 1860 because he is listed in Scioto co in both censuses. So it doesn't seem like it is the same family. Please let me know if you find anything else. Thanks
