Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, January 25, l923 On Thursday, January l8th, friends and neighbors to the number of twenty-two gathered at the home of JOHN DRURY, who has been laid up with rheumatism for some time and cut up a fine pile of wood, the wood being cut in the timber of C.M. COULTER and had to be hauled to the DRURY home, five teams doing the hauling, while a jolly bunch of men chopped in the timber and helped load the wood. MR. PHILLIP COZZI and son, BALANDO, brought their wood saw down and sawed it up into stove length in the afternoon. An excellent dinner was served at noon by MRS. JOHN DRURY, MRS. RALPH JUDD, MRS. OREN ELMORE and MISS LIZZIE COZZI. Copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert "With permission from the Leon Journal Reporter" July l6, 2002 Notify Administrator about this message?
