My great grandmother was Samantha Mary Cook b.24 Mar 1833 Van Buren, NY d.15 April,1918 Town of Galen, NY. Her parents were David Cook b. Connecticut and Huldah Elmer b. NY. Samantha is a sister to your Lydia Cook it appears. Samantha Cook first married Berlin Hamblin and had three daughters. After Hamblin's death, Samantha Cook married Seth Clum(1811-1889) on 6 July 1861in Clyde, NY. Children of Samantha and Seth Clum were Jessie and my grandfather Orville Elmer Clum (1875-1959)in Town of Galen, NY. Orville Clum married on 6 Nov.1895 Lurenna May Sloan (1876-1955), and they had my father Ruthvird Lundy Clum (1914-1974).I would be glad to give you more complete information, dates, places on any of these people if you want them.I have a picture of Samantha around the time she died. I would appreciate any informaion you have on the David Cook and Huldah Elmer family. Where in NY was Huldah Elmer born? We were told Samantha had some Iroquois (Onondaga) Indian ancestry. Did you ever hear anything about this? I also would appreciate a copy or scan of pictures you may have of David and Huldah. I will gladly pay any expenses.

Also my Sloan ancestors go back to George Sloan and Mary Campbell from Co.Armagh Ireland in 1755 which may be your line too.
