I have no clue where the Canfield came from. And the closest Canadian connection would be VT. I do have more info on her since I made this post. She was born Feb 1850 in Saratoga Springs, NY daughter of Judiah Ellsworth (born CT) and Frances Ellen Lovell. She married Richard Hoag Battey 18 Aug 1880 in Chester, Windsor, VT. Her death date of 18 Apr 1881 is from a genealogy and I have been unable to confirm it or to determine where it occurred. I had assmuned MN where Richard was based but after finding the marrige record in VT and given the short length of the marriage she could have died in VT or anywhere between there and MN??? Sorry not to be able to be of more help.
