I have found the information in these volumns to be very releiable. However, there is always room for error, as there are many Ellsworths with the same name. I have also found that many of them moved back and forth from Windsor Ct. I am an Ellsworth, Kay Ellsworth Hunter, who descended from Josiah at Windsor and have been there several times working on genealogy.
