Searching for information about John ELSWORTH and/or his spouse Ann KNIGHT. John's parents were Thomas ELSWORTH and Hannah CALDWELL, he was born in 1794 in England. Ann's parents were Benjamin KNIGHT and Elizabeth GREEN, she was born in 1788, Church Brampton, Northamptonshire, England. Ann and John were married in Church Brampton, Northamptonshire in 1815. They both died in Leicester, Leicestershire; John in 1871 and Ann in 1862. Their children: Elizabeth married Henry COLLIER, Thomas married Mary WASS, Anne married Nathaniel TAPSCOTT (believed to have gone to USA), William married Elizabeth CLARKE (known to have gone to USA - changed surname to ELLSWORTH), Hannah, and Esther
