Just wanted to respond to you message because I have a Grandfather Named Claude Theodore Ellsworth that came to Midland.Mich. His father was John Ellsworth and he was married before and had lived in the New york and Pennsylvania area.
He had a son Charles born around 1869 in New York;by his first wife. He married again. My grandfathers sister (Ella) called her son Samuel. I have been trying a connection but can't seem to bring it together as informaiton may not be correct I have. There was also another family of Ellsworth's in the midland Area which I don't believe were from our same family. They ran a hotel I was told.
