Orsemus Ellsworth,according to "familysearch.com" (the site of the Church of Latter Day Saints geneology files) was born July 1810 in Fletcher twp., Franklin, Vt. and his father was Joseph Ellsworth and his mother was Lucy.
Joseph Ellsworth was born June 1775 in W. Greenwich, R.I. and died June 1857 in Fairfax, Vt. He is buried in Sanderson Corners Cemetary in Fairfax.
Joseph married Lucy Haynes of Fairfax, Vt on Oct. 25 1796.
From this it is fairly conclusive that Orsemus and Fidelia Nichols were man and wife as she was born and raised in Fletcher, Vt.
I don't know if this is any help to you. What I am trying to find out is if any of their descendents have any information regarding Fidelia's grandfather, Elisha Nichols of Bennington, Vt. So far I have not been able to locate his ancestors. He was married to Lucy Dewey, widow of Henry Walbridge and daughtrer of the Rev. Jedediah Dewey of Bennington, Vt. His son, Dewey Nichols, was Fidelia's father.
