The book "Ellithorpe's of Killingly (Thompson Parish) and Stafford, Connecticut" by Grace Olive Chapman, copyright 1944 states:
on page 37
[note the spelling has an A]

"Several Ellithorpes went from Killingly, CT to Bridport, Vermont. The following Ellithorpe (various spelling) list is from the Bridport, Vermont Town Records.
