James Ellison, b. 28 Apr 1823, and his wife Mary Ann McKinney, , b. 3 Sept 1829, lived in Jackson Co., GA. His parents were Matthew Ellison, b. 5 Jan 1793 SC and d. 19 Mar 1870 in Jackson Co., GA, and Margaret Miller, b. ca 1800. Some sources have said that the parents of this Matthew Ellison were James Hugh Ellison and his wife who was a Wilson. Does anyone have documentation of these being Matthew's parents? I am trying to establish a connection between Matthew Ellison and my ancestor Samuel Huff Ellison, b. 1790 GA, who lived in Jackson Co., GA through the early 1820s.
