I thought the old Robert Ellison of Fairfield SC was born in Ireland in 1742, but I found a record here showing he was born in 1740 in SC:

So now I wonder, if this is the same Robert, who his parents were, and when they came to this country..because I don't doubt that Robert's parents or grandparents were Irish..
