okay, I have found a little more:
Maude is indeed the one named Marris on that census. She married Andrew Jackson Byerly.
Her Brothers were Charles (charlie) Parvin, Floyd and Tolbert.
Sisters were Bertha, Alice
This I found in the scholastic census for Ebenezer school, Jasper County, Texas (TX) (early 1900's)
Now I also found a semi listing of children taught earlier (1880's) in the community, and together in class were Geo. W. Ellis, and Mattie Womack, ( she had Charlie (Charles) and ALice as siblings.)
I know that Maudes (Marris') parents were named Mattie M. and George (Geo. is how he signed everything and what he was listed with ) W. . All of this is from Jasper County, Texas.I have put this together from Census', family talk and community research.
I have lots of papers from that era because my GGGGF was the JP and he kept lots of stuff. I am looking at the Ellis' and Byerlys as part of my husbands line.
I dont know if Womack is her right last name, but it seems to fit, Of course the only census she would have been on is the 1880 Census (MAttie that is) with her family because from my deductions she was born in 1875, she is listed on the 1890 census with her Husband Geo. Ellis.
Any help would be greatly apriciated!
