Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has come across burial sites for the following:
* Lendall F. ELLIS, b. Jul 1863 in Bradford, MA, d. 1920 in MA.
Lendall's wife:
* Nettie G. (BATCHELDER) Ellis, b. Dec. 1864 in Deerfield, NH, d. abt. 1940 in NH or MA.
Lendall's parents:
* Joshua ELLIS, b. 29 Sep 1829 in Bradford, d. after 1910. * Nancy P. (nee ??) ELLIS, b. 1839 in MA.
Lendall's paternal grandparents:
* Andrew ELLIS (ELSAS/ELSAR/ALLICE), b. 31 May 1797 in Bradford, MA, d. Jun 1860 in Bradford/Haverhill, MA. He was the son of John Lewis ELLIS and Susanna WOOL.
* Deborah (CARLETON) Ellis, b. 9 May 1797 in Methuen, MA, d. after 1860 in Haverhill/Bradford, MA. She was the daughter of Cyrus CARLETON and Deborah DAY. (Cyrus - Ebenezer - Ebenezer - Edward - John - Edward the Immigrant who marr. Ellen Newton)
Lendall and Nettie were my great-great grandparents. There is a family story that Nettie was in downtown Haverhill during her later years - in the park directly below the Haverhill library - and that she gestured down towards the river and said that she would be buried with "her folks" there. I'm assuming that she meant her husband's family, as he was already buried and her birth family was in NH. Assuming also that it was a quasi-public burial ground, I'm thinking perhaps the Riverside Cemetery in Groveland fits the bill?
I'd be grateful for any information. We've been looking for "our folks" for a long time now.
