Hi, Sounds like you'd like to connect directly with people who knew or knew of your grandfather and may know oral history about him. Is that right?

Do you know Richard Elliott's parents and siblings names? Or do you want help finding his extended family? It may help attract relatives if Richard's parents and siblings names are posted.

About his cause of death: Trish in the post below suggested you order a copy of his death certificate from the State of Georgia or Worth County. The Family Search transcription you posted is incomplete; it's really important that you obtain the original. The death certificate will include a cause of death and also hopefully the names of his parents (if you don't know). In the United States Forum, a volunteer gave you a link for ordering the death certificate:

Below is Richard's wife Dollie in the 1940 census. I presume you are in contact with your aunts? How about JC Douglas and his family?

Sumner, Worth, Georgia
Willis School Road
Frank Douglas 60 born about 1880 in Georgia
Becky Douglas 44
J C Douglas 9 son
Dolly Elliott 37, daughter, widowed
James Elliott 11 grandson
Bertha Mae Elliott 8 granddaughter
Peade Mae Elliott 4 granddaughter
Richard Lawhorn 26 cousin

1930 J. Frank Douglas and Rebecca Douglas in Worth County, Georgia

One last thought: It's important to acknowledge answers to your query. Not only is that common courtesy, but also your ongoing presence in the forum will be effective in getting help. If you are AWOL, readers will assume you are no longer interested and their efforts on your behalf are not needed.

Sometimes when a person posts a query, they don't get notified of replies in their email, or they don't notice the replies. That's why I sometimes change the title, to help you notice. I hope you understand it's with good intentions.

All best

P.S. Here again are the records for Richard that are posted.
