As you may or may not know James is probably the third most common male name in the family behind Robert and William. That said my family are too from CO.Fermanagh. My mother had hired a Dr.Trainor in the 80's to look for our family. On one of the lists it has James b. 7 Nov.1808 to James Elliott and Isabel Armstrong the records are from the Diocease of Clogher and into the Civil Parish of Clones they aren't seperated. We weren't looking for a Robert but the records go from 1775 to 1824.Do you know what area your kin were from?My family left for the U.S. in 1825.
