I am researching my Elliott ancestors. My gggrandfather was William Elliott b. 1803 in Hanover Twp., Beaver or Washington Co., Pa. He was married to Margaret Gibson. They were the parents of James, Mary Jane, John, Elizabeth, Martha, Baty, Samuel (my ggrandfather), Laughlin Grant, Robert Taylor, George and Matilda. He died in 1854 in Ohio Twp., Beaver Co. His parents were James Elliott and Elizabeth Laughlin. James was born in 1772 or 1775 and died in 1847 in Ohio Twp., Beaver Co. and Elizabeth died in 1832 near Murdochsville, Wasington Co. He was buried in New Salem Cemetery in Beaver Co. We're not sure where Elizabeth is buried. They were the parents of Beatty, William, Sarah, Mary (Polly), Wilson, Jamison, Morgan, Barbara, Samuel, James Laughlin, Ferguson and Rachel. Sorry to be so long-winded but I thought maybe you would recognize something. I know a good deal about Elizabeth Laughlin's ancestors but nothing about my ggggrandfather James. There are histories that claim who his parents are but we don't think it is correct. Thanks for responding.
