Somehow it's always my luck that the person with the information has died. I may have to schedule a trip to Pittsburgh some day. Richard Childerstone II married Mary Harris, the daughter of Rowland Harris. Mary's brother, Ephraim Harris, married Richard's half-sister Hannah Elliott.

Since Richard II was a Justice of the Peace he is mentioned frequently in official records. I wish I had any more mention of his father. All I have is his marriage in 1764, burial in 1771 and one mention in 1765 as the father of his son, Richard II. I have never found any record of a will or probate.

I can only suppose that Richard Childerstone and John Elliott immigrated together from Northern Ireland.

Thanks for your response.
