William Elliott, Perquimans County, North Carolina

I am looking for information regarding William Elliott born ab 1750, married Peninah Woodard in Perquimans County on 1/9/1787 (per Perquimans County Marriage Bonds). I am also looking for information regarding Peninah.

They had a daughter, Elizabeth Elliott born 11/17/1787 in Perquimans County. She married Joab Chappell and they migrated to Pike County, Indiana with several other families before 1810.

I originally thought William could be the son of Pritlow Elliott but I have not been able to find any documents to prove it. I have read through the Piney Woods Quaker meeting minutes and could not find a record of this William Elliott though there are many references to Pritlow. This William served in the Revolutionary War so it would seem doubtful that he would be a Quaker.

I have read several postings regarding an Elliott family chart. Can anyone tell me if William and Peninah are on this chart.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nancy
